Overview
In this lesson, students learn how women micro-entrepreneurs are changing the human characteristics of the communities where they live. Students read about three women micro-entrepreneurs in Africa. In pairs, they use what they learn to design pamphlets promoting micro-entrepreneurship to other women in developing countries of Africa.

• describe how African women micro-entrepreneurs have changed the human characteristics of the places where they live and work.
• identify where micro-credit institutions are most active and explain why the majority of their clients are women.
